About Chalet Tilumi ...
Location, location, location! The five-star Chalet Tilumi couldn't be better placed if you want to make the most of the mountains, the apres-ski and the beautiful village of La Clusaz.
Park your car up in the double garage and forget about it while you are here - the ski lift and ski school meeting place is just across the road, and you're just a few steps from some great bars, restaurants and shops. If you want to explore further afield, the ski bus will take you to Le Grand Bornand, Chinaillon and Manigod - and it's all free with an Aravis ski pass!
At the end of the day, why not while away the evening in the sauna or hot tub or try one of the many restaurants on your doorstep?
The property ...
This semi-detached chalet sleeps up to 10 people (maximum 8 adults). It is set back from the main road, which is always kept clear of snow due to its village location, and there is a double garage with plenty of parking.
Inside, there is a useful cupboard in the hall, which opens on to the open plan living area. After a busy day in the mountains you can curl up on the leather sofa and chairs around the woodburning stove to plan the next day or relax in front of the television. There's a toilet on this floor too, which is where you'll find the washing machine and tumble drier.
The fully-equipped kitchen is separated from the dining area by a breakfast bar, and there are doors on to the sunny terrace, which wraps around two sides of the house so that you can follow the sun. There's a hot tub out here too, which is the perfect place to enjoy a drink and watch the sun set over the mountains.
The four bedrooms, all of which have quality bed linen and wardrobes, are upstairs - two double rooms, a twin room and a children's room with two sets of bunk beds. Two of the rooms open on to the balcony with mountain views, and there is also a shower room and a separate bathroom with two sinks.
In the basement you'll find the garage and a ski room, with a heated boot rack, so that your ski boots will be warm and dry when you put them on in the mornings. There's also a sauna, where you can relax after an active day on the mountains.
About the area ...
The Bossonet ski lift is right across the road from Chalet Tilumi, and the Aravis ski pass gives you access to 220km of pristine pistes in La Clusaz, Le Grand Bornand and Manigod. The weekly flood-lit descent in La Clusaz is a must! The local ESF ski school meets for beginners’ lessons next door to the ski lift, and cross-country skiers will find great terrain at Lac des Confins and the Glieres plateau, just a short drive or ski bus ride away.
Non-skiers will have no time to be bored either, with an ice-skating rink and cinema in La Clusaz, as well as sledging, snow-shoe walking, dog-sledding and sleigh rides. Chalet Tilumi is also just a short walk from the village's new bowlling alley. If you’re looking for the ultimate in relaxation, let your cares float away in the heated outdoor pool at La Clusaz, while the snow falls gently around you.
There’s no end to the summer activities and entertainment when you stay at Chalet Tilumi.
Walking or biking in the mountains is a pleasure, and all the hard work is done for you if you take the ski lift to the top and bike or walk down at your own pace. Take a picnic and make a day of it, or treat yourself to lunch at a mountain restaurant, many of which are open all year round.
Adrenalin junkies can try paragliding, canyoning, climbing, mountain-biking or white-water rafting. Via ferrata is a great family day out, with children as young as eight able to explore the mountains safely on iron walkways, secured to a harness.
There are several golf courses within an hour of La Clusaz, and children will love the outdoor swimming pools in La Clusaz and Le Grand Bornand.
A day out in the medieval town of Annecy is a must: spend the morning exploring the shops and markets of this canalised town, enjoy lunch at a lakeside restaurant and then spend the afternoon on the beach or hire a boat and visit some of the beautiful villages around the lake.
If you fancy a great holiday at Chalet Tilumi, check your dates against our availability calendar. If you need a little time to check with the rest of your group, we can hold the booking for you for 24 hours. But don't leave it any longer - a great chalet in a prime position won't hang around!

The OVO Network Review
“An ideal chalet for skiers and for nights out in La Clusaz with friends.”
Chalet Tilumi is a semi detached four-bedroom, two-bathroom chalet for 10 (8 adults max) spread over 125m2 of floor space and 3 floors.
Perfectly situated in La Clusaz village, 100m from the shops, businesses and the swimming pool complex, Chalet Tilumi is opposite the ski lifts at Bossonet. For winter guests, accessing the ski slopes couldn't be easier, and in summer, MTB enthusiasts will be able to take their bikes up via the lift system, literally just across the road.
The chalet has a large garage: just park your car up for the duration of your stay!
For those who look forward to the apres-ski as much as the sports and exploring, the fun begins virtually from the chalet doorstep. Imagine you and your friends in the numerous bars and restaurants to be found in La Clusaz — all within easy walking distance.
La Clusaz is a warm and welcoming resort, and the newly-opened bowling alley is just down the road, which is already proving popular.
Two of the four bedrooms have balconies overlooking the mountains. The kitchen is well equipped, and opens onto the main communal living space ensuring lovely evenings together around the fire, without the chef feeling left out!
The owner has thought of everything for your comfort; there's a ski room with boot warmers so that you set out in dry kit every morning, a sauna to relax in at the end of a hard day on the hill, and a jacuzzi on the terrace which provides a picturesque view across to the slopes.
Whether you decide to visit with family or friends, Chalet Tilumi is a must for anyone wanting to spend their holiday in La Clusaz village, and likes extra facilities and comfort catered for too!

From the owner
After searching for five years, we found exactly what we were looking for in La Clusaz: welcome to Chalet Tilumi!
My wife is Finnish and in her mother tongue, "Lumi" means "snow".
Our chalet is located in a much sought-after area of La Clusaz, opposite the Bossonet lifts and piste, back from the main road, yet still within easy walking distance of the village!
A new construction, made from old wood and in a traditional style, Tilumi has the charm of a traditional chalet design combined with modern comforts. For example, we have geothermal heating and hot water.
We are both passionate about skiing (we have been skiing in La Clusaz for the past thirty years) so we are thrilled to now have a place of our own here, decorated and set up to our taste, in a place where we have already enjoyed so many happy times with our family and friends.
La Clusaz is so much more than just a ski resort. It's also a gorgeous village, which has managed to retain its charm, with many organised events and activities possible for all ages, throughout the summer as well as the winter.
With a water sports centre and gym, skating rink, paragliding, mountain biking, Via Ferrata, and of course downhill and cross-country skiing to name just two of the many winter sports possible, there really is something for everyone here.
On top of that, we are just thirty minutes away from Lake Annecy, which offers a multitude of water sports and activities, and Annecy itself is just a little further away.
Everything combines to make, in our opinion, an exceptional and idyllic location!
We hope you will find our chalet welcomong and comfortable, and that you will be tempted to come and stay here soon with your family and friends.
